A MOMENT OF ZEN: TWISTED WHEEL

BOUNCING BOMB LIVE AT KINGS COLLEGE

What a year it's been for Twisted Wheel, one that's seen them support Oasis on a European tour and become part of the entourage at the Manchester legends UK enormo-gigs. They've scored support slots on Paul Weller's forest tour, The Enemy's UK tour, played a successfull headline tour of their own, debuted on the John Peel stage at Glasto and produced a brilliant if only chart-troubling debut album.

Not bad for three Oldham lads bucking the current trend for glitzy 80's glam-pop in favour of an altogether more satisfying punk re-styling of 90s Brit-rock. Twisted Wheel have been firmly in the Zen's sights for a while now; we chatted to front man Johnny Brown a while back and since then we've seen them open triumphantly for Weller at Silverstone Racetrack, and for Oasis at Heaton Park. And during a rare quiet moment at their raucous headline show at Kings College back in May, I managed to catch this video.

Enjoy,
